ICOS registered course has an entry requirement of Upper-Intermediate level proficiency in English and aims to prepare students for tertiary studies in Australia at diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate level.
The EAP course is also a very effective means of upgrading English language proficiency for business purposes as it includes business studies.
The course includes IELTS, TOEIC and other international test preparation. The course content includes:
- Academic English
- Seminar and presentation skills
- Tertiary study skills
- Research-based learning
- Referencing/library skills
- IELTS/CAE preparation
Students undergo a highly intensive program of study, which includes: Academic Writing, Presentation and Seminar Skills, Note-taking, Library and Research Skills, Study Skills and Computer Competency. The program also prepares students for the international tests – IELTS, TOEIC, FCE or TOEFL – the English language examinations required for entry to university and to TAFE.

General English Beginner Course Description
For real Beginners and for Elementary level English with basic communication skills. Elementary assessment on AICOL Entrance Test A. 20 hours of face to face core English and for student visa students an additional 3 hours general independent study.
General English Pre-Intermediate Course Description
Entry requirement for Pre-Intermediate General English is completion of the Beginner Course or assessment on AICOL Entrance Test B. 20 hours of face to face core English and for student visa students an additional 3 hours general independent study.
General English Intermediate Course Description
Entry requirement for Intermediate General English is completion of Pre-Intermediate Course or assessment on AICOL Entrance Test B.
General English Upper-Intermediate Course Description
Entry requirement for Upper-Intermediate General English is completion of Intermediate Course or assessment on AICOL Entrance Test B.
